I now have my drivers license :D
Well, techincally it hasn't arrived yet, but i've passed all assessments and am on my P plates.
6 months and I can drive after midnight. 2 years and I'm off my plates, and can drink.
I'm quite pleased with myself :) |

TODAY could be a good day to ask for an early finish from work. According to some, the beginning of the end will happen at 5pm Melbourne time. The timing isn't based on a religious theory or some wild premonition. 
What has many people worried - including some Herald Sun readers here and here - is a scientific experiment happening in an underground bunker below the Swiss Alps. At 5pm, the switch will be flicked on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a giant particle accelerator built by European science organisation CERN, in an effort to replicate the Big Bang.

So we were at the Moon and Sixpence tonight and I was saying to friends that I really wanted to listen to some Genesis.
After a few more drinks we decided to head off, when I suddenly hear I Can't Dance playing behind me. I turn to see some guy playing it on his mobile phone to his partner.
I'm all "Ah! I hear Genesis!" to which he responds "YES! Brilliant!".
I then told him what I said earlier, and that he'd made my day.
Gotta love random events like that. |

After a year or so hiatus, I've entered the Canning Art Awards again for my fourth year.
For anyone interested the opening ceremony is tonight at 7:15pm at the Canning Exhibition Centre on the corner of Station Street and Albany Highway Cannington.
I'm entering a single photograph in the photography category (funny that). The work is entitled Dark Light.
